Mario Ramiro Taubaté - SP, Brazil, b. 1957

Mario Ramiro (Taubaté, 1957) is a multimedia artist graduated from the University of São Paulo. He was a member of the group of urban interventions 3NÓS3 and the Brazilian art and technology movement of the 1980s. His production brings together urban interventions, telecommunication networks, sculptures, environmental installations, photography and sound art.

 

He holds a master's degree in photography and new media from the Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln (Cologne School of Arts and Media), and a doctorate in visual arts from the University of São Paulo. He is a professor at the Dept. Of Visual Arts and the Post-Graduation Program in Visual Arts of the School of Communications and Arts of USP.

 

Amongst numerous collective exhibitions, he participated in four editions of the São Paulo Biennial and the Havana Biennial.
