Ian Salamente (b. 1997), painter, based in Cabo Frio, RJ. His practice unfolds primarily around urban fractures and tensions, particularly through the codes and symbols that permeate local, Brazilian, and Latin American culture, while drawing heavily on his own lived experiences and everyday encounters, which have become a defining element of his work. In 2024, he took part in SP-Arte for the first time and held his debut international presentation at Nil Gallery in Paris.
