Delson Uchôa Maceió, Brazil, b. 1956

Delson Uchôa (Maceió, Brazil, 1956) is one of the leading contemporary artists representing the so-called "Generation 80".

With an extensive exhibition trajectory - such as biennials in Venice, São Paulo, Havana and Cairo - he has works in collections such as Inhotim (Brumadinho, Brazil), Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo (Brazil), Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo (Brazil), Vogt Collection (Berlin, Germany) and York Stack Collection (Berlin, Germany).

Although he has more recent ventures into the performance and photography universes, his reference technique is painting on large-scale canvases with supports such as resin, canvas and leather, exploring the multiplicity of layers and the use of vibrant colors.
