Felipe Cama Porto Alegre, Brazil, b. 1970

Felipe Cama (Porto Alegre, 1970, lives in São Paulo) examines the processes of production, distribution and consumption of images in the contemporary world. To do so, he appropriates representations in various media - from digital images circulating on the internet, publicity photographs, photos found in virtual travel albums and reproductions in Art History books - to compose works in media such as painting, photography, collage and video.

His work is part of important institutional collections: Museu de Arte Contemporânea de São Paulo, Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo, Centro Cultural São Paulo, Museu de Arte de Ribeirão Preto, Instituto Figueiredo Ferraz, Museu de Arte de Porto Alegre, Centro Cultural Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa (Lisboa) and Universidade de Arte de Musashino (Tóquio).
